About Me

My photo
Tiffany
I love to cook and bake. My husband and I have many other interests, but he is a great sport and lets me indulge in my love of cooking. My only complaint about him is that he does not eat enough; therefore I do not get to make as much food. Trust Your Instincts is about the things I make, the ingredients I choose, and the farmers who make those ingredients. I am grateful to my parents who raised me into the person I am today. This blog is named after their impact on my life. My Dad gave advice only when necessary and one of the things he always said was “Trust Your Instincts”. This advice has gotten me out of a sticky situation in Mexico, encouraged me to pursue seemingly crazy goals, and more. My Mom taught me to cook and bake from a very young age. As a young child I could not wait until it was my turn to help mom in the kitchen. When I was young Mom and I started cooking at 8:00 AM in order to have a meal ready by noon. The same was true for supper. I find that my dad’s advice also applies as I cook in the kitchen, thus, the name of the blog. I use recipes as a guide and make my own recipes. I will share those things with you so please check back to see what’s cookin’.
